The Amazon Rainforest needs thoughtful investment just as much as it needs biodiversity protection. For the millions of people who depend on the forest for survival, preserving it isn’t just a necessity — it’s a matter of livelihood.
Today, Pajani Singah, co-founder of Amazonia Impact Ventures (AIV), will share strategies to drive sustainable investment in the Amazon at Washington #DCClimateWeek2025.
Pajani will join the panel "Unlocking Capital for Conservation and Climate Resilience" alongside Campbell Moore (Director of Carbon Markets, The Nature Conservancy), Andrew Don (Director, Cordillera), and David Akana (Program Director, Mongabay). The event will take place at The Square at 11:20 AM.
Reflecting on the importance of the week, Pajani shared:
"With all the economic and political turmoil happening globally, it’s critical to keep the conversation and the work going in climate finance if we truly want to tackle the planet’s challenges."
D.C. is hosting its first-ever Climate Week until 2nd May, positioning the nation’s capital as a centre for climate action, innovation, and policy engagement. It brings together policymakers, investors, researchers, and industry leaders to drive tangible climate solutions through curated workshops, panels, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
