Amazonia Impact Ventures (AIV) and the Wyss Academy for Nature have launched a partnership to strengthen the economic resilience of three forest‑based associations in Peru: RONAP, ASCART and AFIMAD. Over 2026, the collaboration will support these organisations in consolidating professional, sustainable business models rooted in forest management. Focusing on Brazil Nuts, an emblematic NTFP of the Amazon, the initiative aims to reinforce business systems of the chain.

Last Friday in Lima, UK PACT launched its flagship Peru programme, backed by £1.18 million to elevate Peruvian non-timber forest products in global markets. AIV joins the consortium to upgrade production, strengthen value chains and secure trade deals. Over 24 months, the project will work with ten forest communities across San Martín, Loreto and Ucayali, aiming for 20% revenue growth.

Amazonia Impact Ventures advanced Indigenous trade in Ecuador, visiting Wiñak to support sustainable exports and agroforestry practices. Co-founder Aldo Soto spoke at CLIIQ 2025 in Quito, highlighting AIV’s impact-linked loans as a tool to strengthen Amazonian cooperatives and scale financial inclusion in Latin America. The trip reinforced AIV’s commitment to hands-on, community-driven impact investing.

AIV renews its partnership with Eco-Ola to boost sustainable Macambo bean production in San Martin, northern Peru. The fourth loan supports 220 farmers, many of whom are women, and promotes biodiversity by planting 3,500 trees. With 2025 production expected to be 20% higher, this initiative enhances agroforestry, rainforest conservation, and economic resilience through exports via Imla’kesh.
