NaturatechLac, Cminds and BIDLab brought together leaders from across Latin America and the Caribbean to align leadership and finance around a shared goal of accelerating solutions to conserve biodiversity and reshape economic models in the region. The event is being held in Cali, Colombia, during Biodiversity Week.
Amazonia Impact Ventures (AIV) Managing Director, Aldo Soto, was invited to join the CEIBA Council, a high-level, carefully curated group that brings together peers from multiple sectors, knowledge systems, disciplines and generations. The council intends to advance investment for biodiversity, biocultural systems and natural capital.
CEIBA Council is fostering a collaborative space for founders and leaders to share agendas, best practices and resources, encouraging cross-sectoral synergies at scale. The inaugural cohort comprises 137 invited members, selected through partnerships, open nominations, and references.

Aldo contributed to conversations on building financial architectures that are more inclusive and future-ready.
“We need to have strategies that strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems, so that innovators, start-ups and community enterprises are supported with the finance and mentorship,” said.
He believes the business environment can scale regenerative solutions with justice and impact.
Soto is also speaking today at the launch of Natura500Startups, the new platform of NaturaTech LAC, aimed at connecting 500 startups, companies and their support ecosystems that are transforming the economy through biodiversity and regenerative innovation. He will share how crucial impact investing is for the Amazon bioeconomy and how AI and biotechnology enable the sustainable use of biodiversity’s potential.
