Investing in nature capital is the theme of the newest report by #TheWorldEconomicForum, presented this week during the #NewYorkClimateWeek.
#AmazoniaImpactVentures (AIV) has provided loans of $ 6.5 million to communities of farmers and indigenous people in the Amazon, proving that investment in the forest is both attractive and feasible.
While the destruction of ecosystems is incentivised at the expense of economic growth, one of the barriers preventing capital flows to nature remains the misconception about poor returns.
