The Amazon Bioeconomy Enters the Classroom

Amazonia Impact Ventures (AIV) is bringing Amazon bioeconomy work into the classroom. Co-Founder and Investment Director, Pajani Singah, will lead a session on AIV’s model at the University of St. Gallen’s “Designing Capital for Impact” programme this November, breaking down how impact-linked debt gets structured and repaid across Amazonian producers and bioeconomy value chains.
St. Gallen ranks among Europe’s leading business schools for executive education and keeps this course deliberately small. The seats go to the people who decide where catalytic capital goes next: programme managers at foundations and family offices, and leaders in impact investing. For AIV, it is a chance to put the Amazon bioeconomy in front of a cohort that will shape those decisions for years to come.
Now in its 10th edition, the three-day programme covers blended finance instruments, incentive design and impact-linked structures. Singah’s session sits alongside other practitioner case studies, positioning AIV’s model as a reference for how impact-linked debt can deliver both financial and environmental returns.
The course runs 25–27 November in St. Gallen, Switzerland. Applications close 31 October.
